CVHS was privileged to have welcomed world renowned snake-breeder, Robert Applegate.
We had a great time with him and his wife this weekend and at our May meeting.

We had some fun at Pets to Go's birthday celebration. CVHS and other vendors spent the day participating in this event.

Jr. CVHS kids put on their first education event!

The kids in the Jr. CVHS Reptile Club put on their FIRST reptile education event, this past weekend at the George Kelly Elementary school carnival. Jr. Club members hosted tables in the school cafeteria with an array of snakes, lizards, and tortoises, as well as tarantulas and scorpions!
CVHS thanks Carla, Sam AJ, Jeri, and Bobby for bringing all the critters for the kids to share with other students, parents, and teachers at the school!

CVHS was invited to attend this year's Salida Middle School Reptile show put on by their Reptile Education Club.
Members brought a variety of reptiles and amphibians to display. The education event was the most well-attended, to date.
A big thank you to Laurel Peterson for having us there and for all her work with the Reptile Education Club.

Save the Frogs! visits Jr. Club at George Kelly Elementary in Tracy

The CVHS Jr. Reptile Club at George Kelly Elementary received a special visit from Save the Frogs!, last Friday.
CVHS Conservation Officer, Michael Starkey, who also serves on the advisory committee for STF, presented 'The Wild World of Frogs!'-- geared toward teaching our Jr. members about amphibian conservation. The students had a lot of fun and asked a lot of great questions.
Special thanks to Michael for doing this for our Jr. group!
